Whole Body Vibration - Mood, Energy Levels & Brain Health

WBV can help your brain stay healthy and vibrant well into old age. Even a small amount of whole body vibration will light up your brain, sending a blast of energy into your body and brain waking you up, causing the release of essential brain neurotransmitters, and improving your mood.

When you are on a vibration plate all your neurons will automatically fire, sending signals to your brain at the same rate the machine is vibrating, 20-50 times per second. Whole body vibration is intensive exercise and research has shown that nothing helps your brain develop and stay healthy more than exercise (1).

Exercise triggers neurogenesis, the creation of new brain cells. This was once thought to happen only before birth, but it is now known that, at a slower pace, neurogenesis does continue throughout life. This neurogenesis allows for brain “plasticity,” meaning that your brain can continue to grow and change throughout life, making new neural connections that allow you to not only learn new skills and knowledge but also to increase your ability to learn, produce, and change. Exercise triggers neurogenesis by prompting the production of brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF), which strengthens cells and axons and the connections among neurons, as well as sparking the formation of new neurons.

The neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine have been shown to increase with WBV (1). Serotonin is a neurotransmitter in your brain that contributes to sounder sleep and feelings of mastery, pleasure, and relaxation. This is the same neurotransmitter that is targeted by prescription antidepressant drugs such as Prozac and Wellbutrin, as well as many illegal drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and Ecstasy. While prescription drugs for depression can be valuable for helping to alleviate symptoms, they also have side effects, and they can lead to increasing  tolerance  and dependence on those drugs. Whole Body Vibration is a natural, safe, rapid, nonaddictive, and legal way to increase serotonin and norepinephrine.

In fact, a recent 2021 research survey out of China, involving 17,000 people using various types of exercise methods, found that Whole Body Vibration was amoung the top performers when it came to improving mood (2).  Vibrant Health has many happy customers reporting increased energy and improved mood.

I am 68 years young and have had chronic diagnosis’ for over 30 years.
