Welcome to this new interactive blog about the vast and exciting world of natural health. I am a naturopath (natural health) and the author of a new memoir, Beyond the Great Abyss: Enlightenment, Redemption, and My Journey into the Unknown. It is my account of the spectacularly wild and transformative last four years for both me and a remarkable man I meet during this period. Everyone has something they would like to change or improve on in their life. This blog will explore different, new and powerful natural ways to aide that process, from new breakthrough energy therapies such as whole body vibration and constitutional homeopathy, to the basics of the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe. Energy, also known as chi or life-force, guides and profoundly affects your physical, emotional and psychological health, in fact your entire life as the vibrations you send out attract the same vibrations back into your life. In other words, as it is often said, “What you give out in life is what you get back.”
Readers of my book often have wildly divergent reactions to this story and the themes and ideas it generates. If you have already read the book please let us know what your reaction was. If you have not already read it, you can read excerpts on this website on the “My
Book” page.
I have heard that the famous German author Franz Kafka once said that a great book is like an axe that shatters the ice of a frozen lake (paraphrased). Radically differing beliefs about ideas in my book are deeply felt but often not expressed. I believe the time is come to shatter the frozen silence of thoughts not allowed and speak your mind. It will be in this space of discussion, with respect and consideration, that we all can benefit and grow. So, please, join me and let your thoughts mingle, meld and alchemize into a greater and brighter new world than perhaps we ever imagined.

I just finished reading your book, and I was engaged from beginning to end. Frankly, I was fascinated at my own reactions! All along I wanted you to get AWAY from this scary guy, but in the end I realized that’s the reaction I always have in those situations, and that sticking it out can result in growth for both parties. Guess I have a thing or two to learn myself, and isn’t that exactly what you hoped would result from people reading your book?!

Hi Laura,
Yes, it is wonderful that my book prompted you to look at yourself and learn about yourself, and thank you for the positive feedback. But I do want to be clear that I am not saying it is always right to stick things out in a scary situation. In this case, with Victor and me, we had very powerful energy therapies and counseling to help guide us to a safe and rewarding ending. Do not try this type of thing on your own!

The book is… appalling… but I couldn’t stop reading it! I especially liked the “scientific” approach, including cited references, to the ephemeral and controversial subjects of intuition and energy. And the appendixes were full of interesting natural health information.

Since there was little time and we didn’t go into discussing next presenters, I’d like to share with you that I read Becky’s book. I was mesmerized by it. She is very revealing and honest in her memoir of the last couple years of her life. I couldn’t put the book down. Becky depicts, in diary format, how through intuition, psychic experiences, homeopathy, vibration, and other non-traditional means she was able to not only help herself with numerous issues she had since childhood, but also help other people and attract and “create” a life partner for herself. I always knew we create our men, but I never even fathomed to what degree… Becky describes a step by step process of how she met a greatly traumatized but brilliant man and how she was able to peel back, layer by layer, his emotional and health issues to get to the core, freeing him up to be himself again. The book is written as a love story, but has a lot of information so I even was able to have psychic experience myself following “the recipe” in the book.
I think our audience would love to hear what Becky has to say. Frankly, I would love it myself. I only spoke briefly with Becky after I finished the book, but I would love to hear more and to ask millions of questions. Let us take a look at our schedule for the next year and see when we can fit Becky into our agenda.
Best regards,
Galina

Thank you Galina! I am thrilled that you got so much out of my book and that you enjoyed it so much. Of course I would be very happy to come and make a presentation to your WOW group.

I read the book over a month ago. As I recall, I was concerned about Becky’s safety. The relationship didn’t seem like a very healthy one and there seemed to be issues of co-dependency. I don’t think it likely that Victor has truly changed; people seldom do at his age. However, if they’re happy and their mutual needs are met, I say bravo. I appreciated Becky’s candidness and thoughtful reflection on her life and the field of natural health and energy therapy. The diary format is engaging and a portal into her daily life. I was drawn in and looked forward to reading what would happen in the next chapter. However, the ending was too abrupt for me. I felt drawn in and then suddenly abandoned. Does that mean there is a sequel is in the making? I hope so!

Could be an update someday. Your concern for my safety is appreciated as coming from a thoughtful and caring person, but while once a reasonable worry, I am certain there is no safety issue anymore. Both Victor and I have changed, that is the beauty of the energy healing method of homeopathy. I won’t argue that change wasn’t needed, but that’s my point, we did change and in a situation where many would think that was impossible.
