As Chapter 2 unfolds, Becky is living alone in her house with her new puppy “Sugar.” Jeanne Mayell, her intuitive counselor, has a vision of Becky as Pippi Longstocking: an orphan living alone with her animals but very strong, independent, lovable, friendly, free-spirited, adventurous and joyful. However, Becky is taking risks in her search for romance…. She is advised to take the homeopathic remedy Tuberculinum, famous for romantic longings combined with impulsive, risky behavior. (See Workbook Introduction for how to use this workbook).
Intuition Development Exercise: How do you find the deeper inner wisdom of what is right for you that we all possess? Your feelings are one big clue. But sometimes you are not even sure how you feel. Taking the time to sit quietly and meditate on an issue will allow your true feelings to surface, and these feelings will guide you to the right choices.
What issues are confronting you at the moment? Write a few down, pick the most important, and meditate on that issue, asking for your true and innermost feelings to guide you. Afterwards, write about your insights.

Candida Yeast Overgrowth (see also on this blog, Appendix 3: Candida Yeast Overgrowth)
What is it: Candida yeast overgrowth is currently an epidemic in this country. This yeast lives primarily in your gut and very commonly causes all sorts of gastrointestinal misery (diarrhea, constipation, gas, acid indigestion…) as well as many other symptoms such as depression, insomnia, mental confusion, allergies, skin rashes, and athlete’s foot, to name just a few. Yeast is an “opportunistic parasite,” meaning that when your immune system is weak and the “opportunity” presents itself, this yeast will invade. It is much like the growth of weeds in a garden – unless a “gardener” (your immune system) is constantly on the job killing off the weeds, they will grow! There are many assaults on our immune systems in our modern environments weakening our immune systems: poor nutrition, toxins in our food and water, high stress levels…. The result is millions of people with high levels of Candida yeast causing a huge variety of problems all over the body.
What to do: The good news is that most people can quickly and easily kill off yeast in their body. First, take a probiotic; this is the good bacteria that should live in your gut (this is why friendly bacteria yogurts, such as Activa, are so popular these days). Also take a natural supplement that kills yeast such as garlic, or grapefruit seed extract.
For the best result, you should also change your diet to stop feeding the yeast with sugars, to avoid adding additional yeast to the system, and to strengthen that weakened immune system. See the Candida Yeast Appendix for more details.
