In Chapter 10 of Becky’s memoir, Beyond the Great Abyss, the mystery of Victor’s tortured personality is revealed. Twenty-five years before Becky met Victor, he was falsely accused of sexually abusing his young daughter. Found innocent in a court of law, his reputation was nonetheless destroyed along with his career, family life, honor, livelihood, friendships and connections in the community, etc…. Rage and heartbreak compete with a loving, sensitive soul for his sanity.
Is there tragedy in your life that has caused heartbreak (for you or someone close to you)? How have you dealt with this trauma? Has it left lasting scars that still affect you, and your life, to this day?
There is always hope for healing, physically and emotionally. (Though it is also true that one does need “to have the courage to accept what cannot be changed,” and I do not mean to dismiss that). I offer to you the methods I finally found (after many years of searching), as powerful tools in this quest: homeopathy, whole body vibration, and intuition. You can heal, be joyful, whole, loving, and loved again. (See Workbook Introduction for how to use this workbook, which is being posted on this blog, one chapter per week).
Intuition Development Exercise: A “Mandala/meditation/spiritual” exercise: Mandala is the ancient Sanskrit word for circle, which across cultures and time has symbolized wholeness, completeness, and creation or spirituality. This meditation method incorporates art, music, and meditation into one powerful experience.
A suggested subject: List losses you’ve experienced in your life. Pick the one that is affecting you now. Meditate on this loss while listening to your favorite meditation music. Then draw, using a circle outline to give form to your thoughts and drawing (but not feeling you must stay inside the circle’s edges), a pictorial representation of your loss.
Homeopathic of the Week: Anacardium: Keynote feature: Good versus Evil (As with all homeopathic types, only some of the characteristic mental and physical states listed below will be expressed in any one individual – see Homeopathy Appendix).
The Mental State: “A normal, sensitive personality and a demonic side… classic split between good and evil,” (Bailey, Homeopathic Psychology, 6-7). “Develops in individuals who are living with unbearable inner conflict,” (Morrison, Desktop Guide, 20). Contradictory tendencies. Inferiority and cruelty. Prominent hardness and cold-heartedness. Anger or violence. Irresistible desire to curse, swear. “A relatively insane constitutional type,” (Bailey, 7).
Common Physical Signs: Symptoms ameliorated from eating. Sensation of a blunt plug, or a sharp object, stuck in a location in the body. Sensation of a tight, constricting band around part of the body. Hypersexual. Sadomasochistic desires or sexual fantasies involving pain or humiliation. Ulcers and gastritis. Eczema. Tremendous itching (a common remedy for poison ivy or poison oak reactions).
Natural Health Tip: Detoxing, in this toxic world we live in, is necessary for the body as well as the mind! Two very effective methods below:
1) PectaSol is an amazing product that binds with all sorts of toxins in your body, including heavy metals. Also great for lowering cholesterol levels. PectaSol is a modified citrus pectin designed to be absorbed into the blood stream (usually citrus pectin would stay in your digestive system), so that it can go all over your body doing its important work.
2) Whole Body Vibration has a very powerful detoxing effect along with its many other benefits. At the same time as you are getting a workout and energy tune-up, you will also be shaking loose probably more toxins than you can handle. Detoxing is usually the limiting factor with WBV, and most people must start at just 1 minute or so to avoid become ill from a detox overload! Use caution with WBV, and do it only with the guidance of a knowledgeable holistic practioner.
